Cameras, videos and audios are not considered to be major factors for an operating system to be labeled as supported. Cameras, videos and audios are more system dependent to provide any specific support. Below are some of the operating systems and test results that myself and/or the church software users have done. If you find any missing operating system that you use, you can email me your results and I will post them here.

Windows XP / 2003

Fully Supported.

Test Results:

  • MS Windows XP Prof 2002 SP 2 - No Issues
  • MS Windows XP Prof 2002 SP 3 - No Issues

Windows Vista / 2008 / Windows 7

Fully Supported.

Test Results:

  • Currently investigating issue. Refer: #0000106. Workaround for this: Installing other than 'Program Files' folder and providing all permissions to 'Users' group for installed folder seems to solve the issue.

Note: It is found that when you install on Windows Vista series into 'Program Files', the OS keeps a copy of the original and never allows to modify. When some update happens or changing any settings will be written into a virutal 'Program Files' folder specific for each user. This allows no modification on the original copy of Church Software. (Still testing on how it behaves on current release..). It is also planned to move the certain user data into user folders (into say, My Documents). This allows better usability also for linux (into say, /home/user) and can have multiple instances and also can work over network (say, \\server\share). I believe 5.2 will have such a model and will have better support for Vista series.
